105 keen Park Runners completed their runs today on an absolutely stunning Kapiti spring day. We had 3 newbies, 2 visitors, and 14 of you set a new personal best.
Congratulations everybody, and doubly so to Zoe Cooper, reaching 250 Park Runs, and Mark O’Sullivan running his 350th Park Run today! What an achievement for you both.
Personally, I am now on 13, and even 50 seems very far off, thanks Covid for keeping me in the teens! I’m one of the ones who comes in towards the end, and admires the runners who pass me on their way back while I’m at around the 1.5km mark. But we’re all out there, giving it our best, every week (or mostly!), and should all feel proud of our achievements.
I’m sure you all noticed the sun and heat today so a timely reminder to slip, slop, slap and swipe! And drink plenty of water. I hope everyone’s enjoyed a fabulous rest of the day, there’s plenty on in Kapiti this weekend so let’s make the most of it.
