Kapiti Coast parkrun Run Report, 2nd February 2019 Today was a beautiful day at kapiti parkrun, the sun was shining and there were loads of people getting ready for their run. There were 6 first timers today Angus Taylor, John Kelly, Joe Harper, Margaret Malley, Kim Foote and Poppy Lindsay. Great work you guys, I hope you keep coming to Parkrun! Sam Yeoman crossed the line first with a time of 18.10, he also got a PB and the second male was Marcelo Amaya, his time was 19.05. The 3rd male was Declan Murphy his time was 20.42 he also got a new PB! Good work. The 1st Female (3rd home) was Lucy Lawlor with a time of 20.38, Cath Braddock got 2nd, 21.31, and the 3rd female was Kristina Cameron, 23.24. There were also four 250+ runners out on the course, Ben Turner, Barbara Hemingway, Wayne Andrews and Mark O'Sullivan (Dad). There were 18 new PB’s today! Sam Yeoman, Declan Murphy, Bryan Couchman, Michael Pearce, Daniel Hewer, Lexi Woodward, Rebecca O'Sullivan (my sister), Anika Kelly, Lisa Barber, Sam Harper, Mike Hughes, Vance Clark, Vanessa Shaw, Jessie O’Sullivan (my other sister), Scarlet Harper, Sandra Williams, Aileen Clark, Nadine Rowan-Thompson. Amazing job you guys keep up the good work. Tarawera Ultra Marathon is next week so good luck if you’re doing it. I’m doing Tarawera 50 km (I'm only 12) Yay. See you in a few weeks keep running! This week 132 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 19 were first timers and 18 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 9 different clubs took part.

The male record is held by Ross GOLLAN who recorded a time of 15:41 on 29th December 2018 (event number 203). The Age Grade course record is held by Keith BATEMAN who recorded 87.28% (18:13) on 21st February 2015 (event number 5).
Kapiti Coast parkrun started on 24th January 2015. Since then 1,793 participants have completed 14,350 parkruns covering a total distance of 71,750 km, including 2,489 new Personal Bests. A total of 233 individuals have volunteered 1,896 times.
