Invercargill parkrun Event number 160 3rd July 2021

Pretty cool in the park this morning, set up was via moonlight and the temperature was a balmy 1 degree.  When the sun came out, we got a bit more ice and while the temperature did rise, it didn't feel like it!  Great work to everyone who came out this morning to join us!

Smile of the Day:  Andrew Barnett from Windsor North School, welcome to you first parkrun!  We hope you enjoyed the course today!  We love it when teachers come out to parkrun, the look on students face when the see teachers have a life outside of the classroom is priceless!!

Welcome to the 50 club Brooke!

Recently when talking to an Auckland parkrunner they remarked that they were constantly amazed when our Invercargill parkrunners turned up to run in Auckland during the winter with t-shirts or singlets on, then when they saw that we had a -2 degree event a few weeks ago, and Brooke was running in a singlet, they realised why the 8-12 degree temperature was fine for a singlet!
