A cool, still winter morning was put on for the much anticipated return of the Greytown Woodside Trail parkrun. This week 39 people ran, jogged and walked the course. A lot of the regulars were back after the 3 and a half month break as well as some newcomers. There were 5 first-timers.
Welcome Paul THOMPSON, Jake ROOS, Bianca GREEN, Sally TITMUS and Sam ROSSITER-STEAD.
And 7 different clubs were represented.
For me personally, lockdown was a great opportunity to build on my fitness. It was great to have a break and New Zealand handled the situation superbly. Like most people, I am very glad to be back at school and have returned almost back to normal. I loved the return of parkrun today and it felt like nothing had changed as the same happy smiley people were there just like before lockdown.
Also a big thank you to our 8 volunteers today
Dave WHITE • Fiona MCCARDLE • Di CHESMAR • Phil COX • Di BAILEY • Kim CATT • Flynn REGISTER • Connor CAT
who made sure the run could take place like normal.
Congratulations to the 4 who recorded new Personal Bests
Flynn REGISTER, Brian DUNNE, Graeme TINDALL and Rebecca EDGECOMBE.
Today's full results and a complete event history can be found on the Greytown Woodside Trail parkrun Results Page.
And THANK YOU to The Offering for their wonderful hospitality as always for our post-parkrun coffee.
