Another pattern of numbers emerged amongst the stats for the day;
12 Personal Bests were achieved by:
Lyndal Kate Duggan
Dave Turton and
Congratulations to all! (What’s with the name Turton? I’ll have what they’re having...)
11 Running Clubs were represented by today’s participants,
10 First Timers took part today (see you again and, soon) and
9 volunteers ensured the 66 at the 66th had an enjoyable, safe and fabulous outing.
Bede Stevens and
Andy Walmsley who lugged his huge equipment (ooh er) up and down the course. Stop that! He’s an Official Parkrun Photographer whose efforts today you can see here.
A special mention of volunteer number 12 the Race Director, Di Bailey who endearingly addressed the 66 strong at the 66th that “ if you overshoot the red turnaround bar at the 2.5km mark just carry on and we’ll see you in Greytown for coffee”(complete with instructions on how to receive a discount at the cafe)!
Volunteering is fun and necessary for Parkrun to operate. Please think about joining in to help make the Greytown Woodside Trail Parkrun the joyful experience it is. For now the 101st person to volunteer at GWTPR is signing off.
Perhaps we’ll have 67 participants at the 67th event next Saturday 1st February?
