Today was our 75th Flaxmere Parkrun, what an amazing milestone team, well done to all of us.
We had a great turnout this morning despite the autumn temperatures and the darkness that is a 7am start to the day but light by the time we start at 8am. 63 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 7 were first timers and 7 recorded new Personal Bests (sadly not me).
Thanks as always to our wonderful volunteers who make the event possible, and in particular our Run Director, Joce Jones well supported by a great team of volunteers. Andrew JONES • Michael EASTWOOD • Kelly EASTWOOD • Philip SHAMBROOK • Eileen MILLS • Richard MILLS • Allan MACHAKAIRE • Gretchen STONE • Alan BARNARD • Liam EASTWOOD freely gave up there parkrun so that we could.
Today's full results and a complete event history can be found on the Flaxmere parkrun Results Page.
The female record is held by Eva GOODISSON who recorded a time of 18:25 on 10th August 2019 (and it was great to see her parents out on the run today). The male record is held by Anthony JACKSON who recorded a time of 16:50 on 25th December 2020. The Age Grade course record is held by Eric PHIMISTER who recorded 83.48% (20:53) on 30th November 2019.
Flaxmere Parkrunners have now covered a total distance of 21,870 km, that’s more than 13 trips up and down the length of New Zealand! Makes me feel tired to think of it. Enjoy the rest of your weekend team, and very much looking forward to seeing you all for Flaxmere Parkrun number 76 next weekend.
