Event number 324
22nd September 2018
Thank you to all those who braved a chilly start to the morning and welcome to the visitors who came along from around the world, Germany, France and UK and also locally of course! There were 26 brand new first timers and in that group 5 were new juniors under 10 - Leo, Louis, James, Harry and Lucas, welcome to you all!
Congratulations also go to Ben Coley who ran his 100th parkrun on Saturday!
We wish Caitlin Barton all the very best for her baby boys who are about to arrive in the next few weeks and look forward to hearing her and Chris' lovely news, thanks for coming along to visit!
On that note we'd like to mention that Caitlin has obviously had to step down for the time being from her responsibilities as co - Event Director with Jeff for Cornwall Park parkrun. Jeff Parkinson has ably managed the running of this event over the past number of months. However, we do hope that other parkrunners will come on board to lend a hand so Jeff can have some Saturdays when he can come and simply run. Being a Run Director is very rewarding and gives a different aspect to how parkrun works and one gets to know more wonderful parkrunners from the amazing community we have at Cornwall Park!
Get in touch with Jeff on the Cornwall office email and there are many other ways to volunteer too like writing the Run Report - that way you can run too! Look forward to hearing from you.
Lastly - Caitlin would like to thank everyone for her beautiful baby gift baskets and she feels very spoiled, but it is much appreciated!
Cheers and see you all next parkrunday
