Blenheim parkrun #241

Blenheim parkrun
Event number 241
14th August 2021

Another beautiful Blenheim parkrunday, although I did hear there was a bit of a headwind on the way out, but then that means there was a tailwind on return!

Welcome to our parkrun newbies Steve Harvey, Kieren Vaughan, Elijah Craw and Doug Bell, we hoped you enjoyed your first run with us and we look forward to seeing you again.

Our junior member Jesse Johnston reached the junior 10 milestone. Congratulations and I am sorry I was not on the ball to make notice of your special occasion.

Welcome to our visitors Fran Van Til and Hisan Wahab, Fran really went the extra mile today! We need to make sure when we say "cone on the ground" we mean "painted cone on the ground!"

Jessica Bell and Renee Craw clocked PBs today. Well done!

Special mention for Maria Hillier's Age Grade Performance of 89.71%, very close to setting a new record for us.

This week 34 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 6 were first timers and 2 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 3 different clubs took part.

The event was made possible by 6 volunteers:

Carey DICKASON • John DICKASON • Georgina WALTON • Julian ADAMSON • Haydn CAIN • Julie HUNTER

Another beautiful Blenheim parkrunday!

Welcome to our visitors Colin and Sue Lang from Dundedin, we hope you enjoyed our easy course.

Welcome to our First Timers Jessica and Megan Bell, we look forward to seeing you again, I know we will see Jessica again as she has already put her name down to be a volunteer in a couple of weeks. If Jessica can volunteer after only one run I am sure a few others with a lot more runs under their belts can step up also. All jobs are easy!

Normal Course Sat 7 August.

Hi All

Return Saturday 7 August 2021 i.e. Tomorrow!

We can return to our normal Blenheim parkrun course on the Cnr of High & Symonds Sts down beside the river near the amphitheatre close to the Alfred St bridge. There are still puddles on the path and quite a big one under the High St bridge, just take a bit of care if you see some mud, there are still a few patches around.

See you there!
