Run Report 24 April 2021

Barry Curtis parkrun
Event number 390
24th April 2021

Wasn't it lovely to see the sun again after a couple of wet Saturdays? Course conditions were a little slippery in places, but it didn't seem to deter the 13 people who achieved Personal Bests today. Congratulations to you all and a special mention to our junior PBers; Cortney and Zoe.

Speaking of special mentions, congratulations to Ian who ran his 350th parkrun today. What an amazing achievement!

This week 148 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 11 were first timers. Of our first timers, we had visitors from Christchurch and Hawkes Bay and we also had 6 people who completed their very first parkrun. We hope you all enjoyed your time with us today. Please come again!

The event was made possible by 15 wonderful volunteers:

Helen KNIGHT • Peter ROUT • Karen ROUT • Grant LINCOLN • Ray FREEMAN • Cathy WELCH • David EVEREST • Ronald LOBJOIT • Keegan KOKKE • Maria SHALLARD • Caitlin SHALLARD • Keira SHALLARD • Andrew SHALLARD • Siapo AUVAE • Isabel BUERSCHGENS

Thank you to you all for helping our event to run so well. Congratulations to Andrew and Ronald on your Sequel coffee vouchers. If you'd like a chance to get a free coffee, sign up to volunteer! You can email us at, or write your name on the board on Saturday. Volunteering is easy and full training will be given.
