Christmas parkrun 2019

Yes - you will be able to do a parkrun on Christmas morning in Balclutha this year!

We will start at 8am at Naish Park on the 25th December.

It will be a great chance to share some Christmas cheer and relax with lovely parkrun people before a busy day for most of us.  Maybe a chance to run off a bit of that Christmas dinner or work up an appetite depending on how you want to play it.

We will keep the volunteer list quite tight but if you fancy helping out just let us know in the usual ways: in person, on Facebook or via the website.

Just another great reason to look forward to Christmas Day this year.

See you there!

Balclutha parkrun #35 – Christmas Day!

Balclutha parkrun #35 - 25th December 2018

On a glorious sunny Christmas morning 31 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 3 were first timers and 4 recorded new Personal Bests. Well done!

We enjoyed cake and a little mulled wine in the sun in lieu of a trip to the cafe.  Thanks to Andrew for the cake.

Since we started we have now run 1012 parkruns covering a total distance of 5,060km!  Rebecca Craig ran a PB today on her 21st run and her final metre was our five millionth!  5,000,000 metres seems quite a long way (about the distance from here to the South Pole or the Equator).

Our Christmas volunteers were: Rod DEVERSON • Toby DEVERSON • Louise DEVERSON • Lauren SCARTH • Judy NICOL • Tim HARGEST

Today's full results and a complete event history can be found on the Balclutha parkrun Results Page.

Balclutha parkrun started on 5th May 2018. Since then 250 participants have completed 1,012 parkruns , including 250 new Personal Bests.
