Event 211 23 February 2019 – Thank you Michael

Kapiti Coast parkrun run report:

Good work everyone, I hope you had a really good run (or walk) and got your time you were aiming for. If this was your first parkrun I hope you had a good morning and enjoyed the scenery.

Alex Procter came first with an amazing time 18:58 Good job ! Marcelo Amaya came second and his time was 19:22 and 3rd was Sam Yeoman his time was 19:25. Good work you three! For the females Lucy Lawlor came first with 21:19 Great work! second was Michelle Panzer her time was 21:39 and third was Carolyn Marshall her time was 22:27. Good work you guys!

Also today at parkrun there were 11 new PB’s. Ash Hough, Alex Gibson, Naomi Hough, Mike Jensen, Adam Lawlor, Joanna Martin, Paul Greyling, Sylvia Meakin, Evan Pinfold, Kezia Hardy, Nadine Rowan-Thomson.
There were 5 new runners to kapiti parkrun,
Alex Procter, Michelle Panzer, Gareth Williams, Amanda Mcauliffe and Janet Mcauliffe.

Carolyn Marshall topped the age gradings with 76.54%, a stunning time of 22:27, in the VW50-54 category. Second in the age grading was Marcelo Amaya who came second with 72.63% and a great time of 19:22, in the VM40-44 category.

This week 96 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 5 were first timers and 11 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 5 different clubs took part.

The female record is held by Hannah OLDROYD who recorded a time of 18:19 on 17th February 2018 (event number 157).
The male record is held by Ross GOLLAN who recorded a time of 15:41 on 29th December 2018 (event number 203).
The Age Grade course record is held by Keith BATEMAN who recorded 87.28% (18:13) on 21st February 2015 (event number 5).

Kapiti Coast parkrun started on 24th January 2015. Since then 1,815 participants have completed 14,651 parkruns covering a total distance of 73,255 km, including 2,523 new Personal Bests. A total of 236 individuals have volunteered 1,930 times.
