Event 282

Cornwall parkrun
Event number 282
2nd December 2017

This week 197 people took part, we had 17 first timers and 24 personal bests. There were representatives from 19 different clubs.

Such a beautiful summer's morning to welcome in December and thank you very much to Rosie Morrison of Foot Mechanics Podiatry, Cornwall parkrun's local sponsor, for coming along with early Christmas pressies!

There was special draw prize for the volunteers before we started, which was a pair of running shoes and Daryl was the lucky winner! Rosie gave out a number of other spot prizes at the finish line including another running shoe voucher, which were very much appreciated.

There were three new milestones today Jason MacDonald, Grant Edmonds and Brian McDonnell all ran their 100 parkrun, congratulations! Welcome to all those visiting and also to those who ran their very first parkrun on Saturday, we look forward to seeing you again!

The event was made possible by 11 volunteers: Thank you all very much.

Volunteering

parkrun cannot operate without the assistance of volunteers. We encourage parkrunners to volunteer three times a year, of course more if you'd like! If you're injured and need a rest from running, we would welcome your help. Go onto the Cornwall parkrun webpage and email cornwallhelpers@parkrun.com  to register your availability and which Saturday you can volunteer.

If you would like to run and volunteer you can do an earlier ‘freedom’ run or even write the run report for our website! Anyone wishing to volunteer their talents as a photographer is most welcome too.

Many thanks to our local sponsor Foot Mechanics Podiatry  We are foot and lower limb professionals.  Foot pain, arch pain, heel pain, shin pain, knee pain and lower back pain are our areas of expertise.  We use leading technology and world class professional development to ensure our Podiatrists are able to find and treat the cause of foot and lower limb problems.
